Every year, from May 1st to 4th, the feast of Sant'Efisio brings together the faithful, traditional costumes, and colors of Sardinia in a moving and grandiose procession. It is a long pilgrimage with thousands of devotees from all over the island, who parade on foot, on horseback, or on tracas, ox-drawn carts adorned with flowers and fruit. SINCE 1652, it is not only the greatest religious, cultural, and identity celebration of Sardinia: it is above all a solemn promise made on July 11, 1652, by the city to its patron saint. Since then, it has been honored, every spring, for more than 360 years, with profound devotion and sincere gratitude.

The feast of St. John the Baptist, the patron saint of Pula, is celebrated on June 24th with a mix of religious and folk events. Celebrations typically include solemn masses in the parish church of the same name, a procession through the town streets, and traditional music and dance performances in Piazza del Popolo. The celebrations culminate on June 24th, often preceded by events on June 22nd and 23rd. Sardinian dances, live music, and folk performances are organized by the "Nora" folk group and the community. Activities take place in the center of Pula and in the church of St. John the Baptist. The patron saint's feast is a moment of great unity for the Pula community and a deeply felt event throughout the rest of Sardinia, linked to the traditions of the summer solstice.
